Wendell Stroud, Owner, President

An experienced marine engineer, Wendell Stroud is the owner of Marine Floats. He is a primary consultant on many of the firm’s commercial projects.

Stroud worked in marine architecture and engineering for 10 years. His first entrepreneurial effort was a steel fabrication company in Oregon. He went on to work in several positions in industrial construction throughout the United States. He and his wife Pauline purchased the name and equipment of Marine Floats from its founding Tenino family in 1988.

Born and raised in Seattle, his family moved to Shelton when he was a teenager. He graduated from Shelton High School and attended Washington State University. He co-owns Marine Floats with his wife Pauline. They have five children and ten grandchildren.

Stroud was named a Living Legend of the Working Waterfront in 2006 by the Foss Waterway Authority, in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the marine industry and the community.

Pauline B. Muir-Stroud, Owner, Vice President

Pauline B. Muir-Stroud is co-owner of Marine Floats, where, since 1988, she has overseen finance, marketing and sales, and human resources. Previously a senior executive in the financial services industry; she was a corporate officer for a Seattle securities and insurance brokerage. Licensed to sell both insurance and securities, she worked with product manufacturers to develop solutions for unique client segments and requirements. She was responsible for introducing new and innovative products to the Washington brokerage community, and for providing marketing and sales support.
