Marine Floats’ Commercial Group offers an integrated suite of services that carries projects from concept to completion – including consulting, design, permitting and compliance, and installation. This comprehensive approach provides the seamless coordination of complex projects that saves our clients time and money.
Marine Floats has worked with a wide variety of commercial customers – from yacht clubs to ports to industrial and manufacturing facilities in both saltwater and freshwater. Our breadth of experience allows us to address the unique challenges of your project – from currents to rough water, water and soil conditions, structural and environmental issues and other challenges.
We also work with architects, other engineers, consultants, public agencies and real estate developers in the planning and design of marina and waterfront developments.
We design, deliver and construct projects nationally and internationally, with concentration in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
Charting the Course to Your Success
Marine Floats invests significant time in the initial scoping and planning of each project. Through listening and careful research, we create accurate designs and budgets that match the details of our clients’ requirements. Our investment of time in the beginning helps us anticipate and prevent many of the change orders and additions that can overrun budgets and delay delivery schedules.
Navigating the Permit Process
With design, consulting and permitting specialists in-house, our applications benefit from both technical and regulatory expertise. This combined with strong working relationships with city, state, county and federal regulatory agencies and offices creates a peerless permit resource. We can coordinate all applications, represent clients at hearings and keep you advised of approval status throughout the process.
Setting the Standard for Float Excellence
For more than two decades we have used tested and proven materials and methods to create products that withstand the harshest marine forces. Our floats are reinforced with steel to make them stronger and sturdier, and we use top grade wood-fiber composite decking, and pressure-treated timber selected for their resilience and beauty. We also offer a concrete decked float, which combines the benefits of the concrete surface with grating to provide the required light-penetration. We deliver finished products complete with selected components – lighting, water, power, dock boxes, ADA compliant ramps, fire-protection, and other unique requirements. Marine Floats' 10-year warranty leads the industry in guaranteed quality.
Committed to Environmental Stewardship
Marine Floats exists to create opportunities for people to enjoy the natural beauty of our Northwest coasts, bays, rivers and lakes. We are committed to building projects that preserve healthy marine environments.
